Check out Tomb Raider's versus multiplayer mode in action, including a longbow
Yeah, you can kill each other with a bow as Lara Croft or someone else
The folks behind Tomb Raider offered up a behind-the-scenes look at the game's recently announced multiplayer. Now, developer Crystal Dynamics is still taking care of the single-player stuff, so Deus Ex: Human Revolution developer Eidos Montreal is lending a hand with multiplayer. They're looking at Crystal's work for inspiration though, from the maps of Tomb Raider to the style of gameplay in Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light.
Much of the video is Montreal talking about the multiplayer, how they approached it looking at maps from the single-player campaign, and so forth. Still very interesting stuff, but if you want to see a little more gameplay, that doesn't come until maybe the halfway point. We do get a glimpse of maneuverability in the gameplay, like players running up walls to avoid being hit... or using a bow instead of a gun. Obviously the bow's shooting mechanics need to be more forgiving in multiplayer than single, and the devs thought of that.
The host, if you're wondering, is Zachary Levi, actor and voice actor.
