Start breaking in the leather as the first trailer for MLB 13: The Show debuts
Modes and menus make brief appearances
The weather outside may be pretty dreadful for the majority of people in the Northern Hemisphere, but it just means warmer temperatures are on the way. It also means the start of the new baseball season and the launch of MLB 13: The Show. Sony has recently revealed the first trailer of MLB 13, and it looks like baseball fans are in for another treat.
Plenty of the game's biggest stars get their digital due, with Buster Posey, CC Sabathia, Matt Kemp, Andrew McCutchen, and more showcased in the trailer. Interspersed with the action are some incredibly brief appearances of the game's menus and modes. The menus appear to have received a slight facelift, though a side-by-side with last year's version is needed to double check. A new Uniform Editor looks to give gamers total control over their team's style, but have your finger on the pause button to check it out as it flashes by quickly.
Neither Sony or SCE San Diego Studios are revealing much more about MLB 13: The Show so far. More details are coming over the next couple of months, plus starting Monday gamers have a chance to vote for the cover athlete from a list of seven stars.

I think Miguel Cabrera should be on the cover because this past season he did something that hadn't been done since Hall of Famer Carl Yastrzemski in 1967: win the Triple Crown, which involves leading their league in Batting Average, Home Runs, and Runs Batted In.There had been Pitching Triple Crown winners multiple times between 1967 and 2012; this Triple Crown involves leading their league in Wins, Earned Run Average and Strikeouts.
