Demon's Souls heads to PSN next week as $20 title, ATLUS will turn on temporary easy mode
Just in case you haven't already played the very first one
Demon's Souls, the game that started a freaking phenomenon, will be arriving on PSN next week as a $20 downloadable title. Well, $19.99 to be more specific, and the date of arrival is January 8. Either way, this is a chance for PS3 owners to try the game, especially with its sequel's sequel Dark Souls II now on the way.
So to celebrate the PSN release of Demon's Souls, ATLUS is hosting a special event that week, between January 8 and January 14. During this "World Tendency Event," the Demon's Souls servers will be set to "Pure White," which is just a really pretty way of saying "easy mode."
The game, as you have probably heard, is notoriously difficult, but during this one-week period, players will be stronger and enemies made weaker. The whole point is to allow new players to ease their way into the game. Enemies will also drop fewer upgrade stones and more healing items during this time. New areas and special NPCs will also be available, and players just "need to know where to find them."
For series veterans, the upcoming Dark Souls II will likely be a little different from Dark Souls. Tomohiro Shibuya is now leading the game's development, taking former director Hidetaka Miyazaki's place.

always beat a games campaign before I touch online. But Starhawk is the first and only game I played many many hours before finishing campaign.
Borderlands 2 is fun but I enjoyed BL1 way more. I happily platted BL1 but I just can't make myself plat BL2.
MoneyBags I highly doubt it will. There's really no point for them to do so, seeing as they're only sequels in the "Spiritual" sense, so there's really no reason for them to, because it wouldn't help open up the story at all for those who have played Dark but not Demon's. Don't quote me on this, they may just so happen to release it on Xbox, but in my view, I don't see it happening.
(And stay away from Warhawk unless you like warping lag, "Sony balance" (read: 1 sniper is equal to one assault. Vehicles take one shot to kill, and move like infantry, etc. Basically every unit is worth the same in any situation), and no way to filter games).
