Borderlands 2's third campaign DLC, Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt, officially announced
Another day, another Borderlands 2 character on Twitter
Those social media fiends at Gearbox Software have taken to Twitter once again, this time giving control of the Mechromancer's "Echo Cast" account to Sir Hammerlock. Wasting no time at all, Hammerlock stepped right up and announced the third Campaign DLC for Borderlands 2: Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt. Yes, that thing we've all been talking about for a week now. More Borderlands 2, everyone! Be excited!
Sir Hammerlock captured the mood of the announcement pretty well:
"The expedition -- as many of you have likely gleaned from the rather frustratingly effective investigators amongst you -- is called:
Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt!
...He shouted at the masses, surprising precisely *no one,* as they'd already heard the title on Joystiq or something like that. Ah, well."
Seriously though, this the third time (three for three) in a row that Borderlands 2's campaign DLC was leaked in advance due to PlayStation 3 trophies. Gearbox should probably schedule their Twitter announcement a bit earlier. Who knows though, I'd imagine pulling their writers, err... protagonists out of Pandora to tweet for a while isn't so simple.
Further details will have to wait until Anthony Burch, err... Sir Hammerlock gets back from lunch or something. In the meantime, check out the image in the header as that's all that has been shown, beyond the announcement itself. Expect a release date before the end of the month, or perhaps early January.

No new levels. It will be quite similar to the other DLC packs content-wise. So, one new raid boss, a slew of of new Seraph items. What is it... four or five new zones? With like a half-dozen story quests and twice that in side-quests.
