I'd rather choose a cyborg style...

The variety of choices was my favorite part of MGS4, but unfortunately the game felt too much like COD. I'll be happy so long as the emphasis on action doesn't interfere with the other options too much. Thats the problem with games that offer a lot of play styles, many times some options feel a bit gimped compared to others.

Don't all stealth games say that? "YOU CAN TOTALLY BLOW EVERYONE AWAY IF YOU WANT"...chances are you can't and/or you shouldn't...so don't...This being Platinum Games, I don't buy this crap for a second, I don't see the stealth factor ANYWHERE in the gameplay. That's how you lose points, people, by outright lying.

After seeing Raiden smack down a Ray clone with a sword... I really don't see what the point or purpose of stealth would be. Metal Gear is founded on stealth because you are in fact NOT a one man army. Or at least your not supposed to be. In Revengeance its emphasis is on action and that's not necessarily a bad thing as even Raiden in MGS4 is fairly badass. They need to stop copping out and just embrace the original style they proposed. Instead of some hackneyed stealth system.

I have a feeling what Seeker X says it gonna be right. Chances are that the there will be stealth but its gonna be all but useless, like with Boktai. It'll probably be minor things like sneaking, knocking, and silent kills but will end up being less efficient than just blowing away enemies before they can react.

Didn't they basically state the opposite for MGS4, that stealth would be less mandatory so players have more freedom? All that did was dumb down the AI as far as I can tell, I've even seen enemies fail to hear turret fire despite being close enough to hear it on hard mode.

I've played Rising, and the stealth premise is definitely there. If you're careful in the game you can avoid confronting enemies. As an example: On one playthrough I blind-sided an enemy soldier and stealth killed him, and ran down the street staying out of the watchful eyes of the Gekkos. On another playthrough of the same section a Gekko spotted me and I ended up with three Gekko's chasing me.

I don't doubt that this game is a hack 'n' slash action title at heart, you can take a more cautious approach if that's your style.
