Just because the world ends, doesn't mean folks stop believing in their gods. The newest Metro: Last Light juxtaposes biblical with post-apcalyptic, though THQ has obviously taken a few liberties with the scriptures. You know, for an added touch of creepy.
Yet the trailer ends on a surprisingly hopeful note. Once you get past all the mutants and gunfights and other forms of horrible death, that is. The future isn't exactly a bright place in Metro, but at the end of it all, you're still in control of your own fate -- which hopefully means survival.

Okay, so we're looking forward to being frightened. In anticipation of the game's 2013 release, THQ is also going to be giving away copies of Metro 2033 next week, from December 11 through December 16. Yep, practically a fully week, though bear in mind that this giveaway is done via Steam, meaning PC versions only. More specifically, the giveaway will be held on the official Metro Facebook, but the games are going to be handed out through Valve's online platform.
