Slight delays are perfectly fine to give a game the time it deserves to get done. Just don't Duke Nukem it. That's all I ask.

"A product is late for a little while, but a product will suck forever." - Gabe Newell

A month delay won't hurt the developers. A buggy release will.

Do you want a game that is covered by bugs Swellyman? I don't understand the fans nowadays, complain about bugs and if they take too long to release they also complain about that.

I've no problems with that. I'll never complain about a game coming out late if they fix all the bugs.

Actually good to hear, first off that means more time to pay it off... Secondly, if it's for the betterment of the overall quality of the game, do what you need! I have faith that 2k will make yet another amazing game to don the Bioshock title.

If only Bethesda did this with Skyrim on the 360. What I don't get is why couldn't they release it then release the patch a month later? Must be an ass load of bugs.

Because then people would be complaining that about all the bugs and saying, "Why didn't they wait a bit longer to fix this shit before they released it?"

I'm glad that you can go ahead and act so immature based on a comment, Swellyman. No need to act like that, I was just raising a point that there are fans out there that believe they are entitled to everything then complain if there are issues.

I agree with Lod-squa on this one... You always hear people complaining that they want their game out as soon as possible, and when it gets pushed back, they get very hissy about it... But when it's released on the promised day, and riddled with bugs, they complain yet. I understand that if you're really excited about a game, you want it as soon as possible (I'm like that with Ni No Kuni...) But the devs know what they're doing, and most of them want their fans to have an enjoyable experience, if that means holding it back to improve it or fix it up, we should be able to hold up our part and support them.

I love how pretty much every comment has a thumbs down. Someone must've gotten very butthurt.

If only Bethesda did this with Skyrim on every platform.
Patching it a month later doesn't help the game. By that stage the reviews are already out, causing people to not buy it. And they won't re-review it after the patch comes out. Once the game gets a bad reputation, it'll keep it.

I think a game as broad as Skyrim is a little different. It seems a game as big as that is gonna have bugs regardless of when it's released - particularly for an RPG title.
