Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch demo hits PSN this week, with access to two levels
Try two levels and two bosses
Looking forward to Level-5 and Studio Ghibli's Ni no Kuni? Well, you've got a chance to try the upcoming RPG this week, as the demo makes its way to PSN.
The title popped up in today's over at the official PlayStation blog. No actual details regarding the demo's content were posted, however. We do know the demo covers two levels and features two boss fights -- Guardian of the Woods and Moltaan.
The demo has also been confirmed for European release this week, expected to arrive on PSN EU this Wednesday.
Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch will be out on January 22 in North America and January 25 in Europe. Japan naturally saw the game first, November of last year.

Also, to anyone having trouble with the battles: Keep in mind that Oliver can heal and use restorative items. (You all probably knew this already, but I didn't figure this out until my second playthrough, made things a lot more manageable.) And D-Pad down auto swaps between Oliver and his most recent familiar. Oh, and keep an eye on Drippy.
Anyway... My verdict is that I loved the demo, and can't wait to see how the full game plays.
Definitely love the graphics and yeah, reminds me of Howl's Moving Castle alot which is great.
I beat both the demos yesterday and while the game does seem a little childish, I think I'm still going to give it a shot. The environments were beautiful and if you think about it, that was a lot for a demo (at least that I'm aware of; haven't played one in years). For the love of God people, it's Ghibli and Level 5!
2013 seems to be loaded with good RPGs though.
----------
Edit: I managed to make it to the top of the Volcano, and I beat the boss on my first attempt. I was thinking that I sucked at this battle system, but some people said the boss was hard? I didn't even heal or anything, in fact I barely got hit by him? Anyways, I'm looking forward to the game, but between all the familiars and other party member(s), things seem a little chaotic. I'm not sure how I'll go about my strategies when I play the actual game.
Also, I went back and redid the 1st Level. I didn't fully complete the demo last time, but I did this time. The cutscenes were nice, and the concept seems interesting enough. I think it'll be fun overall. Though I won't lie, I'd have preferred 100% Turn Based battle system.
I don't like Drippy's English voice either, but there's always the option of playing with Japanese voices.
Also Drippy's english voice is, the worse thing I've ever heard.
Truth is sometimes a demo isn't very faithful to the finished game, but for now, I'm erasing this game out of my "to get" list.
I died on the first boss in the forest as well by using that tiny sword weilding puppet, then i did it again with Oliver spamming fireball and strong coffee
So, yeah, maybe
The game is freaking beautiful but it kicks my ass. They just throw you into a boss fight without explaining the battle mechanics so after three failed attempts I quit. This was for the forest level by the way, I haven't tried the fire one yet. Am I that much of a nub? ._.
i can't seem to find this demo on the EU psn..
and it said on namcobandaigamesEU youtube page that the demo is out 5th December
