Yeah, I'd be one of the 90%. The white one wasn't all that much cheaper; it was worth paying just a little extra for the additional memory and stuff.

I think having two versions of the console for launch was kind of stupid. You fragment your market, and just increase demand while you sit on a bunch of stock that wont sell. Everyone I know of wants the Deluxe version, and all the stores I visited were sold out of it but still had at least 4+ basics still in stock. 8GB is incredibly small for today's standards as well.

The main reason is storage capacity, folks....8GB is just good for portable gaming devices like Vita or 3DS but not so good for consoles!!

This doesn't surprise me at all. Once you download all the updates onto the 8gig you hardly have any room left for games. Not to mention the fact you would have to spend extra money on external memory.

either way, you are going to be getting an external hd for your wii u if you are doing any downloading.

the black wii u is simply a better value, you get a charging cradle, a controller stand, a console stand, and nintendo land.

white wii u is $299.99
black wii u is $349.99
just getting nintendo land is $59.99, so if you plan on getting that game, you are already saving $10.00, plus getting more storage space, (and some sort of dowload rebate promotion)

the black wii u is simply a better value.
