When Kersti says her farewells at the end of the game, it was kinda funny how little she meant to me. She goes on to say how it's been a crazy journey and stuff, but I never really got to know her. The only time I saw her was when she was basically saying what Mario couldn't say, or that annoying animation to go into paperize mode. It was kind of like a less-helpful Navi.
I remember feeling kinda sad. Because I just felt like... I should. The music was awesome, and the concept of stickers being peeled and dying was cool, and in Paper Mario's world could have been fleshed out to make a nice story. It was a nice last ditch effort at least.

OK, I am going to be completely honest. Before I start on Sticker Star, I will comment on all the hate that Super Paper Mario got. First of all, it's completely unnecessary. So what if it doesn't have turn-based battles and partners? It's awesome in its own way. I, personally, loved the story of Super Paper Mario, the ending was so very touching, the characters all had great personality, it had welcome cameos from previous Paper Marios (Fort Francis, etc) it doesn't deserve all this hate. In fact, upon hearing about "Paper Mario 3DS" I got so excited, because I thought it might possibly continue the story of SPM. As for the gameplay, I thought, "Thousand-Year Door." I also loved TTYD, especially the Doopliss chapter. If Sticker Star had been as great as TTYD, I would have truly enjoyed having a portable Paper Mario. I've always loved Mario as a whole, and I praise Miyamoto for making the series in the first place, but, as for his latest work on Sticker Star, I can't say I'm impressed. Sorry, maybe next time on WiiU, but Sticker Star was, sadly, crap. Speaking of WiiU, since Paper Mario was on 3DS, maybe they're trying to switch the RPG's around and put Mario & Luigi on the WiiU? I'd like to see how that turns out, but if it has no Fawful, or if it turns out to be New Super Mario & Luigi, then no.
From the thread I made about this, people said that it was simply too different from the already built-up formula in PM games for them to get interested in it.

As much I want to see another Paper Mario, It's scary to think of what they might do with it now.

I think whenever Nintendo changes something up, it gets a lot of hate (example: LoZ Wind Waker). But Super Paper Mario got a lot of hate from the community because the gameplay was different than the previous games. It's not what the diehard fanbase wanted from the series. Miyamoto was trying to appeal to larger audiences with Super Paper Mario. Altough I loved Super Paper Mario, what I really loved in it was the story, characters, and the collecting aspect. But at least it kept most of the features from previous games (leveling up, partners) that Sticker Star stripped away.

Ded Valve That's the impression i got. "We want to be able to forget this game was ever made after it's released. Just be glad we're letting you borrow Mario."

I like this game. It is the best one among many. I think this game will be improved. Some people criticize few series of it but i still think so that it is better. Because it is still very famous among the people.

I never thought I'd say this, but I hope him stepping down gives less restrictions to the developers. This was just...stupid. The Paper Mario series never really had this brilliant plot, but it was consistent and flowed smoothly. This game just...isn't. The sticker mechanic makes everything feel awfully forced.

I suppose old age can do that to someone?
Na, but being spoiled on good games growing up can.

Wow, what to say...
That's crazy, IMO. I actually enjoyed the story from Super Paper Mario *ducks*.
I'm still waiting on this game for Christmas. Somewhat disappointing to hear, although I'm still getting it regardless. Can't pass up Paper Mario!

It's still pretty fun and the music is awesome, just removing the story while putting in the sticker game play makes it feel like you never progress in the game.

Next Paper Mario game for the Wii U, there will be partners.
Considering they said this game is going to be the standard for future Paper Mario games, I doubt it.

Which makes no sense, since they said they like to switch things up every paper mario.

I hope so.

I don't see why they'd include secondary characters though, if they do end up scrapping the story.
