I wouldn't mind seeing Hideo make some more great games (continue on Zone of the Enders?) But hopefully he doesn't kill of MG...
issue here being that he had called it quits before, when MGs3 and the PSP games launched he had 0 intentions of continuing MGS or MG as a general thing, he was dragged to produce MGS4
he actually didn't want to continue it after the first MGS in fact.

Anyway i´m a big fan of the mgs series i played MGS1,MGS2,MGS3(loved the Snake Eater song),MGS:Peace Walker and the Metal Gear Acid series, but one thing i´d want is a sequel MGS to tell the story of Outer Heaven and Cipher that Peace Walker started it.
My most hated charecters is Raiden:Mgs2:a real G.a.y whiny boy!!! MGS4:more evil and does jokes.
Metal Gear Rising:probably just a maniac like Gray Fox!!
In MGS series i just prefer Big Boss(Naked Snake) instead of Solid Snake and RAIDEN!!!
I´m a true MGS fan and a neosseker newbie!!!!!!!!!

I agree with who it was that said that Kojima has been saying this for years. EVERY GAME is his last metal gear game

And to the Guy above me: until you've actually tried MGR, you have no idea what you're talking about.

Well i prefer that stealth and sense of danger on past Metal Gear Solid games.....if you can give THE
link to Metal Gear Rising gameplay........thanks!!!!!!!!!!

Also i even think Raikov from MGS3 is Raiden father!!!!

I hear what all of you are saying, and I agree, I don't want to see a close to the metal gear series. New angles are always available for stealth games, which Kojima revolutionized, and maybe someone will come with something totally mind blowing. But I like Solid Snake, and while I understand that making him old was Kojima's way of saying "this is the last Metal Gear Solid... ever" because he wants to focus on other concepts. Trust me, if you let him, he'll come up with something award worthy, something mind blowing, that your friends will wonder why you haven't been on COD in three months. I don't care if its an RPG, stealth, first person shooter, mech (please, please), whatever, I'm sure it'll be original, creatively excellent, extremely addictive, and entertaining on multiple levels. And in the mean time, I'll play whatever he cares to slap his name on.

WELL this may be the last metal gear because Snake commited suicide on MGS4
and they only have no choice but to continue Big Boss story and Raiden doesn´t have much options for contnuing.......the STORY!!!!

It´s sad that Solid Snake commited suicide........

All of the suicide was commited by FOXHOUND´s FOXDIE

They can't continue from where MGS4 left off, but they can still make games that take place before it. I'm sure they could think of something to slip between past games or maybe remake the first three, I'm sure there are quite a few people who never played MG1&2 and MGS1. Well, theres MGS1 on PSN but it might be hard for people who started with the newer games to get into so a Twin Snakes style remake would be nice.

Yea, both Acid games were spin-offs. Wasn't Portable Ops a spin-off originally, but written into the main story as canon? They could easily do something like that again, but in reverse. Something like an earlier mission while Snake was still green or working with Otacon.

After the Acid games and some of the side missions in Peace Walker theres no telling what they could do with another spin-off.

Peace Walker wasn´t a spin off neither Portable Ops-they tell the story of Big Boss.

I was talking about when Portable Ops first came out, people were debating if it was considered canon or not. I don't remember if it was Peace Walker or something that was announced that changed peoples' minds though.
