Might seem good for people who would like to stream games, but to me nothing special. Just wondering though, why Twitch? Why not others?

The ability to add non-Origin games to the library is probably just to mirror the same feature used in Steam for conveniance.

Ah Origin, the program trying to compete with Steam and only succeeding because it's required in order to play Battlefield 3. I say screw the updates, the couple hundred people that use EA's Steam rip-off for games like "The Sims" don't need social features like this. As for the Thousands of "Only use Origin because of Battlefield, and run Steam alongside it" people, who cares about updates?

pshyeah, origins... the main reasons i use an origin account is for stat checking. battlefield, MOH, mass effect, dragon age.. that stuff. that's the good part.

origin itself however is nothing special with so many things that don't work and an infamous help desk that makes things worse half the time. i installed the "service" on my computer a few weeks ago to give it "a try" but last Sunday i puked it out so hard after literally trying to make shit work from dusk to dawn.

i'll buy their quality games on console like a good pet but origins stays the hell away from my pc.

S-I-E, I've actually had great customer service from Origin every time that I've tried for it. My friend was out of the country and asked me to redeem an a code for his account. The code was expired and I got on the chat and asked about it. Instead of them just frankly stating it was expired, the rep put the game into the library and an additional game from the same offer. More recently I had to get my email changed on my old account and after waiting 10 minutes because it was 3 in the morning, I got a rep who helped me out, changed the email, and gave me a discount coupon as well. They do a damn good job of customer support in my experience with Origin.

I haven't had any problems with the the service though...

been hearing about their generous side, but not in my case. i explained the whole problem and in the end that fop randomly gave me the wrong step plan and just jacked out all of a sudden. something about how to check if i'm running the latest patch software on battlefield Vietnam...

next ticket i took had a waiting time of 26 minutes but after waiting for +30 mins i just gave up. next day i de-installed origins.

typical EA, one customer gets hailed with presents and the other has to stay up more then 13 hours to get an install code to work on his account. >_>

What's all this "Install code" biz? The only time I ever have to use install codes on Steam is from promotions on other websites that give me free games, like Dota 2 or CS:GO.

Please explain, I'd love to hear a good "bad story".

Huntereb, there are also promotion codes or codes you win from contests. In his case, it might have been that he redeemed it on EA download manager or something and it got screwed up during the conversion to Origin. Sorry to hear that though S-I-E, you could try giving them another try at some point but sometimes it does take a while for "about 5 minutes" (more like 15) to pass.

exactly, for some reason one was already redeemed and the other only unlocked a single dlc pack, it was supposed to give me access to digital BF2 and BF vietnam but instead i only got the special forces dlc.

I've been at it for a long time. it sucked that it happened but i already accepted the loss. i try this again and before i know it i'm stuck to the PC all night browsing forums again.
