Battlefield 3 patch improves PS3 input lag, tweaks weapons, more
Some nice buffs in this one
Battlefield 3 expansion "Aftermath" launches today for Premium players on PS3, so you know what that means: patch time.
Available now or later today on consoles and December 4 on PC, the latest update alleviates the input lag and audio drop-out issues for PS3 players, tweaks quite a few weapons, fixes a few bugs (now you disarm MCOMs from all sides), balances the gunship (no more thermal optics or massive splash damage), and changes medal requirements (Recon players will be especially happy with that last one). Regarding the Gun Master issue on console, DICE says they'll be deploying a fix for that as well in the coming days.
Most of the weapons get a buff (particularly the G53, LSAT, Type 88, M26, and Rex), but there are a few that get nerfed some -- namely the M416 and UMP.
Boot your console now to grab the patch (check back later today if it's not live yet), and hit the source for the full notes if you like.

F**k off. Glad most servers ban anyone using it. Im also glad i just finished the UMP challenges if they nerfed it. I dont like it anyway.
LSAT was buffed? I already love that thing. Nice.
Is there a full list of changes anywhere?
"Not even usable"
I just finished the F2000 assigment last week which requires 25 M26 kills. I had never used the weapon before and got all 25 kills in like 10 minutes on Metro and practically every one of them was a one shot kill even outwith normal shotgun range. I cant simply have got lucky 25 times in a row.
If thats it "unusable" what a *bleep*ing utter noob cannon it must have been before. It'll be one shotting tanks and IFV's if they buff it anymore.
Honestly i got through that assignment in mere minutes. Hey maybe i literally got lucky with injured enemies 25 times in a row... but i seriously doubt that.
Also, the full patch notes were in the original post on the "source"
And yeah, I cant view twitter in work :-(
Cheers anwyay.

... indicating that all the above requirements have been softened. I'm a bit annoyed with a few of them since I was very close to nailing them the old fashioned way.
There were probably a few more that didn't flag because I already have multiples.
Elsewhere in patch world, I now have 2 vanilla magnums and 2 93Rs. rumours abound that they are secret dice dev weapons with super stats but I've not tested. Sounds pretty trollish to me.
