BioWare is asking fans a lot of questions about the next Mass Effect game, and executive producer Casey Hudson recently posed a new one. Hudson asked the following on Twitter: "Would you be more interested in a game that takes place before the trilogy, or after?"
It's a valid question, certainly, and one that could prove very interesting. If the new game is set before the current trilogy, maybe we'd see the First Contact War, the Rachni Wars, Krogan Rebellion, or something else. After the trilogy could show how the galaxy is recovering from the Reaper invasion. BioWare could even take it a few thousand years beyond that based on our feedback, so we can see how far cultures have advanced.
All of this is just in the planning stages now, but be sure to let Casey Hudson and BioWare know just when you want the new Mass Effect game set. We already know it'll be running on the Frostbite 2 engine, so whatever our choice is should look pretty great.
