I want a sequel, if only to see how bioware will get themselves out of the corner they wrote themselves into. Prequels have too much "crap" that they could introduce. Like the whole heatsink versus thermal clips hassal we already dealt with.

Well, I think the narrative would be better if they went back to a prequel -- say the Rachni Wars, the First Contact War or the Krogan Rebellion.

Despite what my head things, my heart pulls the opposite direction. They need to make a direct sequel because leaving Mass Effect 3 as the end of the series is such a disservice to that franchise.

Tbh, I just don't see how they would do a sequel. Either they have to attempt to fix their botched ending of ME3 (and the *bleep*ed up situation the galaxy is in at that point), or they would have to go far into the future. Also, they would have to choose one of the endings to be canon.

ME3 ending sucked. They have to do a sequel.

A sequel, but with a full on "Choose Your Own Adventure" story....that way everyone stops bitching about the shitty ending.

Sequel. The only way to redeem the series and the lore would be to write themselves out of the mess they purposely made. I'm honestly all for retconning, set it a few thousand years apart and have it so that the reapers died due to dark energy and haestrom and shit.

I love the possibilites of prequels and the first contact war or krogan rebellions would be glorious but I just can't enjoy the lore knowing how it'll all end with massive butchering. Prequel or sequel I want this game to be made with respect from start to finish and not be tossed out for cheap marketing gimmicks.

Flip a coin. In the end its gonna be the same. Bioware trying not to make the same mistakes. And if they do that then either can be good.

A Sequel will have to choose an ending. And though people hate the choices for that ending etc. the fact is the Galaxy is fairly widely different depending on the choice.

A Prequel would be a safer choice in the end honestly. You can establish and flesh out lore that way and unless the person you play as is as godly as Shep you can do it any way you like.

I personally lean toward a Destroy sequel...

Bioware do me a favor. Don't ruin your creativity with multiplayer. Make a prequil. Because if you do you will stick yourself in a hole because of your ending of 3. You already ruined my favorite story. Redeem yourself and say *bleep* multiplayer.

To be honest, all I really want is the ability to play as something other than a human, like an Asari or a Krogan or a Turian perhaps. Not just in multiplayer, either.

But if they do a sequel then they have to pick an ending which will make the ME3 ending even more pointless and will make people even more pissed. I hope somone with a real artistic vision just says "alright lets just stop right here".

Give us the last cycle before ME1-2-3 to be honest, playing with all those old races would be nice to find out about them.
