Looking forward to the physical collector's edition. Blizzard makes some of the best CEs in the business. I have to agree that SC2's pro scene is dying though, compare it to where Brood War after 2 years of its release. BW was huge at the time. Now both players and fans are getting into other games like League.

AznLiquid Do you think HotS will revitalize the scene? Do you think Blizzard waited too long to release it?

Brood War benefited from having no real competition when it came to pro gaming. Counter-Strike was popular, but it really only took off professionally in certain parts of Europe.

The transition was handled very poorly by both Blizzard and KeSPA as well. For 2 years, SC2 and BW events were being held simultaneously, really splitting the scene. Had all the pro BW teams switched, it'd probably be doing much better. The release of HotS will certainly help, but I don't see it overtaking League anytime soon.

AznLiquid For sure, League's got that World of Warcraft momentum. At this point it's not about trying to dethrone it, it's about following in its wake.

I'm hoping HotS takes competitive StarCraft to the next level. It's great to watch, and the more eSports the better.
