I'll likely obtain it in a less than legal way...
Weren't you saying piracy was bad just a few weeks ago?

Console war bickering can go elsewhere. If you want to bicker about the already obvious and publicly stated advantages and disadvantages to buying Skyrim for any of the three available systems, don't ruin a different topic just to make yourself feel better for buying a specific version. Make a new thread, or use an existing thread about the topic.
Thank you.

Also, discussion about obtaining games illegally is not allowed on the site, 4 Aces.
Thats why i said a 'Less than legal way'. I merely mentioned i would be breaking the law, it was someone else who dragged it on, not me.

Piracy is bad. So is McDonalds but we still eat it.

As for the trailers, there's still nothing on their Facebook or Twitter pages. But bare mind these companies tend to operate around americas time, it's still only like 7am there at the moment.

Technically, this isn't a game.

Besides, it's not discussion without another person.

Yeah, and?

Theres a big difference between torrenting a game and torrenting DLC, both of which i have done in the past, the main difference being that with the game, its their main source of income, whereas DLC is just a bonus packet of money for them. Not all of us can afford the luxury of buying DLC, especially this close to christmas. If i had the spare cash, i'd gladly buy it, but since i don't and theres a cheaper option to get the same product, of course i'll get the cheaper one, it's human nature.

Don't forget, no matter what a company says or does, their main focus is money. If their main focus is going to be money, then so is mine.

You look like a huge hypocrite. Either have no problem with piracy or do.

And no, there isn't a big difference between the two. They're both illegal, they both take money away from the developer. I could argue that pirating dlc is worse because it's almost impossible for them not to get money from it, seeing as third parties can't buy it and resell it with no profit to the developer, a la used games.

You're trying to have your cake and eat it too. Either get off your high horse and pirate shit without remorse or stay on it and pay for shit like a normal person.

I don't, haven't eaten Maccas in nearly a decade because I found out it was worse for you in more ways than just empty calories, sugar and grease. Far more. I also haven't pirated a game in any form for many years, because I very much like gaming, and I'd like games to stick around. It's a choice, don't use something so vague and unsupported as an excuse.

You can use that self righteous crap about one person not making a difference to their cash flow, but it's not just one person. Hell just look at Crytek, in the process of changing their entire business system to F2P in the hope to stop the ridiculous statistic of piracy of their games. And they're heavily backed by EA for christ sake, it obviously takes it's toll...

Anyway, what Resilience said. (I lol'd)

WHERE IS THIS TRAILER?

Looks really good, definitely the best DLC yet. And some good nods for TES Vets.

Lorx any chance you could put a sub-heading on this thread, saying the trailer is out, and maybe put it in the first post.

Pause at 1:06 - Goblins lol, riding a boar.

Everybody are hypocrites, whether they like it or not, they do things that they tell others not to do.
You're trying to justify it, which is bull when you have to face it and have a chance to change it. How bout instead of making excuses for your hypocrisy, you own up to it and try to change it? Either by stopping people they're bad for pirating when you do it, or stop pirating at all and you can stay holier than thou.

don't know what instance you're talking about where i said people shouldn't pirate,
This entire thread

quote
thats irrelevant, because i do torrent, but discourage others from doing it,
lol that's what this entire conversation is about, so it's about as pertinent as anything

i on the other hand, have barely any money at all.
Oh, but you have enough money to buy two versions of Skyrim:

quote 4 Aces
Of course, but you'd get it exchanged. I've had the game on PC and PS3, and had less problems on ps3. As for the DLC, they'll feel cheated, but it was never Beths intentions.
quote
because 9 times out of 10, they do it because they don't want to spend their money,

In future, don't judge when you don't know shit.

That kind of thing will be done by cromagdude soon(tm), this is an article thread so editing that sort of thing is touchy and I'd rather not break something.

4 aces demomfurby jbh, this line:

Is where the flaming ends, and is where the talk about piracy as a concept ends, neither of these things are a trailer for Skyrim DLC. If you want to talk piracy as a concept and moral choice in depth, please do make a thread, but that is not talk that belongs here. Thank you.
