Huge sale on EA games at GOG.com this weekend
Perfect chance to get some classics for 60% off
The weekend is upon us, and what better way to celebrate it than by playing a ton of classic video games. GOG.com has launched a huge EA sale with over 20 games at 60% off, which means each and every one is only $2.39. It's hard to beat that kind of deal for some gaming enjoyment.
There's a little something for everyone in this sale, so no matter what your preferences are, GOG has you covered. Ultimas 1 through 9 are included, as are Ultima Underworld 1 and 2, Dungeon Keeper 1 and 2 lets gamers be the bad guy for once, the Wing Commander games that essentially defined how all space sims should be, and plenty of others. You can pick up the original Syndicate, become a god in the Populous games, get lost in the Lands of Lore RPG series, or sit back and run your own hospital in Theme Hospital.
All of these games and more are on sale this weekend only, so hurry over to GOG.com and browse the selection. All games are provided DRM-free and work on Windows, with selected ones also on Mac.

Constructor sounds good too (like a cross between Sim City Classic and that Supervillain game where you build your secret hideouts and stuff).
Btw, I really recommend checking out and keeping an eye on the corsix-th project. It's an open source reimplementation of the Theme Hospital engine (which requires you have the actual game installed) and it modernizes the experience by adding native support for higher/widescreen resolutions. The GOG version runs in DOSBox (a DOS emulator) but it's still limited to 640x480 resolution and has a few other issues.
Any TH fan will appreciate the work the corsix project is attempting.
Heard it was good, and gets a lot of high ratings on the site. How much of it is just nostalgia, I dunno.
Still, I'll be sure to check this out.
