Portal 2 'In Motion' DLC plus Move support coming to PS3 on November 6
Move patch to be free for current PS3 Portal 2 owners
Move support is coming to Portal 2 on the PlayStation 3 for free on November 6, care of developer Sixense. To celebrate the event, and hopefully persuade a few more fans to try Portal out with the new control scheme, Sixense is also releasing a level pack title In Motion. The PlayStation 3 exclusive DLC will focus on delivering a unique motion gaming experience, while introducing some new mechanics Portal 2 fans may not have seen before.
Again, the Blu-Ray version of Portal 2 will be receiving a free patch that will provide, "a touch of the motion experience provided by Sixense." A downloadable version of Portal 2 will also become available on November 6, packaged with the new Move update. Only the In Motion DLC will feature the entirety of Sixense's motion tech and features, such as: 1:1 control of objects, moving and reorienting placed portals, and scaling cubes. Some of the features can be seen in the trailer below.
The In Motion DLC for Portal 2 will cost $9.99, will run 30% off for PS+ members and launch on November 6. Both the Move patch and the downloadable version of Portal 2 will also be released at the same time. In Motion will include 20 single player test chambers applying some of the features I detailed above. Sounds like some cool tech, so if you have Portal 2 for the PS3 make sure to check this out.
Damn, it's good to hear that Portal 2 music again. Time to spin up the soundtrack one more time.
