Counter-Strike curious PC gamers can try out CS:GO this weekend on Steam, free of charge.
The idea behind the event is to introduce players to the competitive scene, as the new spectator mode dubbed GOTV has just launched, and the ESWC 2012 eSports finals in Paris have just begun, so you can check it all out in-game starting now.
Of course, even if you don't give a crap about eSports, you can get a feel for the game and see if it's your thing. There's no need to be scared of CS vets, either: you'll be grouped with fellow newbies like yourself all weekend long.
Note the free weekend ends 1PM PST on Sunday. Boot Steam now and check your library to begin downloading.
