Had my Deluxe preordered for a while. Doubt I'll buy any retail titles as downloads, but there are several nice looking games coming to the eShop that I plan to pick up at some point, like Trine 2 or TokiTori2.

Is the deluxe edition still in stock?
Last I heard, it was sold out of pre-orders.

Peace-Child You're right, it's sold out everywhere that's taking preorders.

This promo is definitely enticing. Well played, Nintendo.

This isn't too bad. I got the Black Wii U pre-ordered myself. So basically, it functions like Nintendo's rewards program (I assume you enter a code included with the game?).

I could use this I think. Hopefully there will be some good eShop items available at launch or shortly after.

EDIT: Ahhh, so it needs to be a digital purchase? Well, I'll probably collect some points via DLC purchases. Maybe enough to get $5 or $10 credit before the promotion runs out. Doubt I'll buy a retail game on the eShop, not unless Nintendo is good about their digital sales and the filesize isn't too great (32GB will be eaten up ridiculously fast that way).

Also Bluexy, by 'intelligible' did you mean 'Eligible'?

I'd rather them build in a small internal memory and allow external storage that I can buy to fit my needs and replace when needed on the cheap, which is what the Wii U does. I'd have gone with the 8 gig option if it had come with NintendoLand myself.

I had seen quotes where they fully expect people to hook up external HDDs or high-capacity SD cards or something to hold larger (amounts of) games. Obviously this didn't make the graphic as a catch.

When you think about it though, it's still better than the competition. Vastly cheaper than proprietary 360 hard drives and higher capacity than PS3 hard drives.

Flash memory (storage) not hard drive

Tekken Tag 2 is a huge DL, but the others sound pretty reasonable.

Sonic Flash - Will you be able to store games on the externals though? With the PS3 and 360 you can't do that, is the WiiU an exception? Seems unlikely, since that would make it even easier for pirates to share the games (and you know they really aren't a fan of pirates).

Nintendo plans to offer full game downloads of their retail titles, and since their discs run between 25-50 gigs now it be pretty dumb of them not to.

Though this is Nintendo, so who knows for sure.
