Feel free to squeal like the fanboys (and girls) that you are, because Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn is finally giving us some Master Chief goodness. Well, the rest of the episode is pretty good too with the way it portrays the horror of war and how our recruits cope and become true soldiers, but Master Chief's badassery is just too much to bear.
Just when our UNSC younglings think all hope is lost, John-117 shows up like a beacon of glorious blazing light in the alien darkness. And you know it's good when they throw in the slow motion.
Seeing these recruits, whom we've become acquainted with over the course of three episodes, survive this impromptu trial by fire also leaves us feeling unusually proud. It's like seeing your own kids grow up after they've struggled like newbies for most their lives.
And then there's, you know, Master Chief.
Halo 4 launches November 4 for Xbox 360.
