Last year I interviewed Zero Point Software's game director Kim Haar Jorgenson about his ambitious sci-fi shooter Interstellar Marines, with great results that left me with the impression this would be a gem. Unfortunately, the game hit some financial issues since, and so it still hasn't seen the light of day outside of limited demos. As such, it's now on Kickstarter. Check the video below for a good feel on it, and also some charming entertainment.
The guys at Zero Point are asking for $600,000 to help complete the game. It just launched yesterday, and has raised a little over $11,000 since; due to its semi-low profile, I'd expect this will be a slow burn campaign, but one that could be successful.
Hit the source to help fund if you like, and note giving $30 or more grants you access to all the demos.
