The Medal of Honor: Warfighter FAQ over at EA's official site underwent a slight change this week. Previously, an entry in the FAQ claimed that Warfighter's campaign should stretch about 10 hours. That claim has since disappeared, but Google cache remembers all.
Here is the segment that went missing:
Approximately how long is the single player campaign?
The single-player campaign will consist of roughly 10 hours of action ripped straight from the headlines and missions of Tier 1 Operators from around the globe with 12 full-missions each taking place in a different "hotspot" of the world.
Why bother removing something like that? Well, as reviews of Warfighter emerge, some accounts are suggesting the new Medal of Honor can be completed in well under the estimated 10 hours. Granted, this certainly isn't unusual for shooters nowadays, but when reached for comment, publisher EA offered up a new approximation. According to their response, the Warfighter single-player portion will last anywhere between five to 15 hours.
"Based on internal play-tests and depending on player skill level, the single-player game can range from five to 15 hours. The number mentioned in the FAQ was a medium representing cross section of players with varied skill levels."
Hey, on the bright side, you've still got multiplayer. Thus far, reception for the Medal of Honor installment has not been favorable.
