Looks like Halo 4 will be adopting the popular Season Pass system. Developer 343 Industries and publisher Microsoft revealed today the Halo 4 War Games Pass, which is basically just a fancier way to say "Season Pass", clearly.
As with all DLC passes, the War Games Pass basically has players pay for all DLC upfront, though you're paying less than if you went and bought the upcoming add-ons separately. For Halo 4, the pass costs 2000 Microsoft Points (about $25) and covers all War Games map packs coming in December, February, and April. The discount stands at 15 percent.
Pass holders will also be receiving Scanner and Strider helmets, plus the exclusive Falcon emblem. If you're picking up Halo 4 Limited Edition, the War Games Pass is already included.
In December, 343 Industries will be releasing the Crimson Map Pack, which includes the Wreckage, Harvest, and Shatter maps. February's Majestic Map Pack will have Landfall, Monolith, and Skyline. In April, the Castle Map Pack adds Daybreak, Outcast, and Perdition.
As always, Halo 4 will be out for Xbox 360 on November 6.
