The Iconoclasts first drew eyes when a demo for an alpha version of the game was included in one of the first Indie Royale bundles. The classical charm and personality, in tandem with its side-view platforming combat and puzzles proved invigorating, unique and best of all -- fun. Developer Konjak is still hard at work on The Iconoclasts, but he's taken a break to ship out a new trailer for the game, as well as updating the alpha demo with the changes he has made in the past year.
Konjak himself introduces his trailer, as well as his plans going forward:
"There's also a new trailer for this year! I guess having two already when the game's pretty far from done is weird, but it was a nice break from game development. I haven't entered IGF at the second of this posting, but I pretty much will."
In the Youtube comments for the trailer Konjak teases at 2016 release date (or is it 2019), which at first seems rather depressing, but all he wants to communicate is that the game still has a lot of work left to do. Still, fans should be excited to see how the game does at IGF, as that might be a good indicator of completion, should it win an award.
Look forward to another The Iconoclasts trailer next year, or try the new alpha demo out now. This PC indie darling is one to watch out for.
