Wii U playable starting today at certain retailers
Nintendo reps setting up demo stations in-store
Looks like Best Buy and GameStop shoppers can try out the Wii U before Nintendo's new console hits in November. Starting today, Nintendo representatives will be going from store to store and setting up Wii U demo stations. No, we have no idea what will be playable.
What little information is available suggests that Best Buy will be seeing these Nintendo reps come in to do the setting up. GameStop, on the other hand, will have the units shipped directly to their stores.
While we don't know what'll actually be playable, pre-order cards for Nintendo's first party launch titles and Ubisoft's ZombiU should be available once these stations go up. Keep in mind that not all locations will have the Wii U demos up and running today, so it's best to call ahead if you're seriously dying to try the thing hands-on. Some demo stations might not be activated until next Monday, October 22.
Thanks for the heads up, tekmosis.
