Black Ops 2 will not support Call of Duty ELITE on Wii U at launch
Activision still "evaluating options"
Looks like prospective Wii U owners who were planning to snag Black Ops II on the new Nintendo console are going to have to go without Call of Duty ELITE. At least at launch.
Activision confirmed today that the Call of Duty multiplayer and social network will not be available for the Wii U version of Black Ops II when it lands. Well, those weren't their exact words. This is what a representative had to say about the subject:
"We are currently evaluating options for Call of Duty Elite to support Nintendo's Wii U game system, however Call of Duty Elite for Call of Duty: Black Ops II will not support this platform when the game launches on November 13th."
Not exactly a definite "no," but gamers aren't really taking ELITE's exclusion as a great sign for Black Ops II on Wii U.
When Activision announced days ago that the Call of Duty ELITE service would be completely free starting with Black Ops II, the publisher also noted that the new Season Pass system and upcoming Map Packs "may not be available on all gaming platforms." Somehow, we're still convinced they're referring to the Wii U version.

Hopefully this is just part of the rush to get on a newly launched console and not as dumb as my initial read above. Not that it matters to me, wasn't going to buy this game anyway.
Anyway oh well, Activision haven't had as long as a time with the Wii U compared to the Xbox 360 and PS3 and this software shall come eventually, and besides I think its like Halo Waypoint, nothing you can't find out online anyway.
