Looks like Nintendo is showing their full support for 5TH Cell's Scribblenauts Unlimited, just not so much for the 3DS version. Warner Bros. and Nintendo announced today that the Wii U version of this upcoming Scribblenauts installment will feature characters from the Mario and Legend of Zelda franchises.
What this basically means is players who own the game for Wii U can conjure up characters and objects from either series. That's actually pretty neat, given we don't know how each item or character will react to the in-game world, though it's unclear why the handheld version was excluded. Obviously this bonus doesn't extend to the PC version either.
Scribblenauts Unlimited, created and developed by 5TH Cell, the original studio behind the first Scribblenauts, will be out this November, most likely to coincide with the Wii U launch.
