Lyonnais Flying a dragon is hardly fast travel. Fast travel is a loading screen and teleportation. Flying a dragon is like riding a horse. But more awesome.

I don't want ride-able Dragons. Why make things rideable if you have fast travel
They're dragons. And you can fly around on them. Dragons.

Seriously though, if you use fast travel you're a nub.
You're saying if you fast travel you're a nub. You're also saying that the best part of the game is to wander the world.

Then you're saying you want to fly a dragon... if you're flying a Dragon you're basically fast traveling... except you're on a Dragon and it takes like a minute longer...

The game is a lot more fun if you actually travel. Wander around the world, find monsters and dungeons, instead of teleporting from quest to quest. IMO of course.

Out of all those places the only one I'm confused on is Miraak Temple. I have no idea what that is. The Telvanni Tower surprises me... their towers are made out of plants and you're up in the cold. However, there are a lot of things a Telvanni wizard can do so I can see that happening.

Scribs and Netch's are also weird. I don't think they can live in the cold (hence why they lived on a volcanic isle), but since there farm animals I can see it happening. Except Scribs need caves and there are no caves in Solstheim unless they decide to clear out a burrow. And even then they need to move the Kwamas. >_<

Interestingly enough though... if this does go through this would mean that in the last 3 Scrolls game where a big DLC has occured on an island. I wouldn't be surprised if this was a big expansion like the SI in Oblivion. And what's also interesting is that during Skyrim the Bloodmoon rises again... which means the hunt returns to Solstheim. However, unlike last time the island didn't have a hero to protect it.

It's going to be interesting seeing what they do with this though. I loved Solstheim, and it's one of the best expansions they've made out of the Elder Scrolls series. I just hope they don't make it terrible like they did with the Vampires in Dawnguard.

Oh, and one last thing... this will have been like the 3rd reference or so SPECIFICALLY to the Telvanni. Is Bethesda trying to hint at something here?

bluexy Thanks for telling me that. I've been wanting a reason to get back into Skyrim, and I was getting tired of holding a spare $20 on my account.

Peace-Child Some folk are saying there's evidence PS3 DLC is coming soon in the data-mined stuff, but I couldn't find the specific details so I left it out of the post.

Still waiting for Dawnguard on the PS3.
C'mon, Bethy. You've gotta release at least one DLC for the PS3 version.

Solstheim currently belongs to the Dunmer, actually. It was contested ground for a long time, but after Red Mountain erupted the Nords gave it to them. They figured more refugees than they could hope to stop would head there anyway, so they might as well beat them to the punch and offer it up, earn some diplomacy points.

But yeah, kick-ass. This would make sense for the Snow Prince-named files people found in that patch before Dawnguard that didn't end up having anything to do with Dawnguard...since Solstheim is the resting place of the Snow Prince's body, and all. :3
