Eragon character anyone?

And idk why you guys aren't excited about rideable dragons. That sounds like a *bleep*ing sick idea. All I worry about is if they can pull it off without causing the game to crash or something lol

You guys are arguing over an optional part of an optional dlc...
Unconfirmed optional part of an unconfirmed optional DLC, rather.
Love me some uncomfirmed optional shit.

Zombie_Barioth - Hah, sorry if you got that impression from me. I just think it's silly to fly a behemoth that's the main enemy of the game. And it seems odd a Dragon would offer himself you to be his ride when they have to 1) have great respect for you and 2) not be scared shitless of you.
I take it you haven't completed the main storyline, then?
No, I did. Just because someone is your friend/ally does it really mean that they're going to let them ride you all willy nilly? Odahviing, had to be fought and caught to be persuaded to even let you ride him. And it was a 1 way ride. I personally wouldn't want to ride a Dragon all the time because then you're treating it as if it's akin to a horse. It suddenly isn't special anymore tbh. That's why I think it's silly.

Now... if a Dragon is willing to give a flight to Solstheim and back I'm down for that. However, to make a Dragon rideable all the time... that's just silly. If they do add it, I definitely would not use it.

Maybe that's just me... but if Dragon Flight was a regular thing it wouldn't make it all that special when Odahviing gave you a ride. Which was probably one of the only times a Mortal was actually gifted the opportunity to ride a Dragon.

But I digress. If they can make it work... go for it. I'm more excited about Spears, XBows, Bonemold, Telvanni Towers possibly being in the expansion then something I find silly.

Also, I wonder if they will ever bring back throwing weapons. Javelins might be saying a bit much (modders can do it though so I don't know) but throwing stars, and knives wouldn't be too out of the question.

If on PC, there is a throwing weapon mod out. One of my favourite to date. Javelins I like the best, though.

Bring back Nordic armor and spears please. Gotta have the Nordic / Viking stuff. And throwing axes would be awesome. As a Nord from solsthiem would say... may the wind be at your back!

The game is a lot more fun if you actually travel. Wander around the world, find monsters and dungeons, instead of teleporting from quest to quest. IMO of course.
As much as I'd like to soak up that 2D scenery and pixelated folliage, sometimes things like real life and not having hours for a single play session get in the way of cross-country hikes through all of Skyrim. I have to use fast travel. I'm just such a trashy nub.

I think walking/riding towards the beginning of the game is pretty fun, especially since there are so many quests to be found. As things slow down and quests get fewer though, I just can't imagine anyone having THAT much fun hiking back and forth between cities. I don't love fast travel, but I'm pretty satisfied with having to have found a location first before getting to fast travel.

Plus, I'm having flashbacks to Morrowind GET BACK YOU CLIFF RACERS!!

After all, Dawnguard was, "choose vampire killers, or turn into super awesome artillery ranged spam avatar of eternal unlife with 2 bodyguards of super awesome unbreakable rock. Choose freely, because honestly we aren't hinting you choose supercool vampire lords that have their own skilltree dude as opposed to vampire killers."

As for dragons flying so fast, even pc mods had to slow down dragon riding because loading all the scenery (imagine a photograph at ground level, then one at human standing eyeline, you can see much more) caused even high end rigs to stutter when travelling at standard dragonflight speed. Im looking for the first Dragon Armour mod, though.

Unfortunately, the PS3 has some sort of odd software or something that makes programming certain things incredibly difficult. I don't know much about it, but i heard something like sony added it to help with graphics or something, but it *bleep*ed alot of other stuff up. I feel bad for the ps3 owners, but i don't even have live(don't want to pay for it as i only play online when i'm with friends, i'm more of a single player guy) so i can't get the dlc anyway. which sucks.

I can always wait for the GotY edition and then wait another 6 months after that for it to drop to a reasonable price.

Its so annoying that PS3 hasn't been getting any DLC. I hope we at least get this, but we probably won't because Bethesda will probably make both Dawnguard and Hearthfire required.
I read somewhere that this DLC is actually being coded for the PS3 first actually. That doesn't mean they're going to get it first, but at least this will be workable.

But you hear a lot of stuff on the internet, but I've heard it flung around quite a bit.
I spent a long time as a PS3 player, getting DLC for Bethesda games(As well as DLC for other games and games themselves) later than the 360, so i know how you feel. Now though, i'm a PC gamer, and would be totally cool if PS3 got the DLC first for a few weeks.
Oh no no. I'm just a 360/PC guy. Don't have a PS3, but I do have a PS2 still.
Ohhhhh my bad >.< my point still stands though, i'd be cool with it. Might show some 360 fanboys what its like to have to wait for something.
I waited a year after the 360 came out to get one and just got xbox live that I can only use after 12:00 while going to school and haveing a part time job/ I can wait lol I really do feel bad for ps3 user they get f##k alot.
