If they were ditching co-op that would be one thing, but if their ideas were gearing more toward matchmaking I could care less. Traipsing through dark sewers with a buddy sounded neat.

dyland02, considering how story-driven 2033 was, I don't think the majority of people looking forward to this game were mainly doing so for the multiplayer.

You understand that like many other players this takes away my interest in buying the game. who knows if multiplayer would have been successful buy I am not going to pay 60 dollars to play a campaign that is not even an rpg. It is a great game, but now I am sure that many people are just going to rent the game like me.

Can you imagine Metro multiplayer? It sounds like the very definition of "tacked-on". Very glad they've come to their senses and reallocated those resources that would otherwise have been wasted, for me anyway.
