Why wouldn't all the all-time classics have an HD remake and they all come in a pack, like Super Mario All-Stars.

There's really no reason to do that for the games that use sprites. It wouldn't look noticeably better in the same way a game that uses polygons would.

I think he meant to make them 2.5D like the New Super Mario Bros. series.

Oh, my apologies then.

Still though, that's a lot more work than redoing textures and lighting, and maybe sound.

Or make some sort of redoing in a different way, like remaking the music in the levels. Nintendo also did that in SMAS.

And Skyward Sword HD.
That's almost as stupid as Okami HD... oh wait.

Depends. Making HD remakes of old games (or at least older than ~4 years) is usually not such a bad idea. HD remakes of Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter and MGS were all good because it allowed people to play graphically better qualities of their favourite games and on their current consoles (because for some reason backwards compatibility is a no-no these days). However the HD remake of the Wii version of Okami was on... the Wii and a HD remake of Skyward Sword would need it to be on the Wii or Wii U for it work, making it pointless. Plus, the graphics were fine as they were.

Maybe just do an HD remake of the older games that didn't have much graphics compared to today's games. So we won't have anyone protesting to Nintendo why would you remake a game in HD, when it already is HD?

Skyward Sword is a little too recent in my opinion to need an HD remake. The Wii U is fully backwards compatible with Wii games unlike the PS3 which is no longer backwards compatible with PS2 games, so there isn't as much of a need. Some of the games like the MGS collection would be harder or more expensive to buy separately making them a good value.

Not that I wouldn't be happy with a "Zelda collection" with Twilight Princess+Skyward Sword, while I'm dreaming how about we throw Wind Waker in there too.

Well, then probably all games that aren't on the Wii, because the Wii basically has the same quality and graphics.

Ummm... what? In what world did the Wii have the same quality and graphics?
