Nintendo 3DS game sales see 89 percent increase since last year

Wow, Nintendo is getting really excited about the Nintendo 3DS game sales.

Can't wait for Castlevania: Mirrors of Fate!

A year ago, I never saw anyone with a 3DS. Yesterday, I saw four just taking the bus home. I like this shifting trend.

Its only natural that a console with two years worth of penetration will have more game sells than a one year old system, but good news for Nintendo I supposed. Shame everyone will still say they are "doomed" thanks to mobile/graphics/kiddie games/Sonic/whatever other flavor of the day thing.

This was bound to happen anyways, Nintendo is FINALLY going back into the right direction and making their systems/games a little less casual. The Wii was just meh except for a few games (and some good overlooked games too) imo, it wasn't really worth the money unless you really loved Nintendo, or if you were like 10, an old person, an adult who can only play crappy casual games, or someone who used Wii Fit or something. @___@'

I'm going to ask for a blue XL 3DS for Christmas/my birthday, there are too many good games and Nintendo is getting too good again to miss nowadays. I want a Wii U too. But yeah, people always end up getting Nintendo's handhelds because they're just great, but I remember it not selling well at first ofc. I was like "lol *bleep* 3D" at first, but you DON'T have to use it, and I probably won't unless I try it out for fun for like cutscenes or gameplay sometimes. The 3D part of it is just not for me, but the great games? Yes, totally for me. Man, I miss Nintendo now that more than half the games look/are good.

I'm holding out and hoping the Fire Emblem version of the 3DS gets released in the US along with the game. Looks pretty sweet, Cobalt Blue with some silver fancy drawings on the top.

Wonder how many people will have the system once a new Pokemon gets announced/released, I'd assume the next one would be for the 3DS, unless there's a B/W 3.

Just bought mine yesterday, I freaking love this handheld . Loved the DS, this 3DS is just great, web browsing, youtube, virtual console, and the actual games look fantastic. I'm impressed.

They announced a fourth Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game in Japan for the 3DS, which will eventually be making its way to North America and European markets. But unlike the first three Mystery Dungeon games, this Mystery Dungeon entry isn't going to be released in multiple versions.
