Splinter Cell will be getting its own graphic novel next year, as a way of setting up for Sam Fisher's adventures in the upcoming Splinter Cell Blacklist. Titled Splinter Cell Echoes, the comic promises to bridge the gap between Splinter Cell Conviction -- the one where Fisher goes Liam Neeson while searching for his daughter -- and Blacklist.
If you're wondering about the talent behind the comic, that'd be writer Nathan Edmondson and UK-based artist Marc Laming. Edmondson is certainly no stranger to writing military stories, given that's what his ongoing series The Activity is about.
Splinter Cell Echoes is expected to come out next year, likely before Blacklist does. The premise of Splinter Cell Blacklist, which we also fondly refer to as "Sam Fisher Unleashed," puts Fisher in charge of a covert paramilitary group known as 5th Freedom. No rules, just doing whatever it takes to get the job done.
