Otherwise they'll still continue to be a success outside Japan. If I recall they are 4-5 million ahead of them in that region probably more. It's Japan they slack horribly in and it's what gives Sony (and Nintendo) the edge and that's a market they'll probably never be able to reach (lord knows they tried for years).

Not saying one is better than the other. Just thought I'd point out Microsoft is probably fairly pleased with how the 360 is performing...

I don't understand why people care so much sales for consoles. Popularity/good marketing plan doesn't equate to a console being better than the other. I love my PS3 and I'm not that much of a fan of the 360 at all, yet I really don't care if the Sony sells more units or sells a certain milestone in a quicker time period.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 from just the UK and US sales alone ended up being the biggest grossing entertainment medium of all time. Does that mean to say it's the best video game of all time or at least better than it's competition for that genre? I highly doubt it.
