To be fair, a lot of British Humor stems from being able to laugh at ourselves, so I guess that's why.
That is why we are awesome. Some people take things way too seriously. I bet you most of the people complaining about Washington being a tyrant wasn't actually bothered that MW2 showed Russian terrorists killing other Russinans.
As an American I'm more bothered that

a) this is more DLC crap

Don't get me wrong, I also hate the fact that its DLC. it would have tied in so brilliantly in the main game by using Washington as the antagonist, didn't the devs say it wouldn't be all 'anti-British'?

Not the point though, i was just complaing at some of the Americans crying about their 'noble' leader looking like a knob. Anywho, its just a game and I think this a good idea, I just wished the devs put it in the main game.

It would have been HORRIBLE if this was included in the main game, possibly a deal breaker as up until now, the AC series has always been as historically accurate as possible. I don't care if America is the villain or hero since the real villains are the Templars and the focus should be on them (which is why Conner is not exclusively aiding America in this war since there are templars on both sides and he still holds a grudge on what the white man did to his people). If anything the DLC should focus on the templars, the true villains, not veer off into non-canon useless dribble of G.W. being a mad king and all such nonsense.

SkX I wasn't aware you can detect emotions through text

Agree with this (except being a deal breaker). Assassins Creed should definitely stay as Historically accurate as possible in the main game. There are obviously gonna be some smaller changes, but something like this would be silly to put into it. Understanding the History is something I have really liked so far in the games, and this game will be the same hopefully. However I have no problem with Ubisoft putting more imaginative ideas like this for DLC content, especially over Multiplayer skins or maps. So I'm really looking forward to game and this DLC.

Why are people getting so angry over a fictional/joke DLC that no one is gonna force you to buy?
Because, Skx, what are we gonna do? Live and let live? How DARE they have fun with their own franchise in the form of additional content that doesn't affect the main game at all and no one is being forced to buy! D=<

Goddamn gamers are *bleep*ing dumb, aren't we?

Haha, I didn't mean him being a king and all that. Just being a bad guy in the main game and not in the DLC.

Anyway, it's not like they are holding a gun to your head.

I have no intentions of buying this dlc but that doesn't mean I can't express how I feel it's a dumb useless dlc that's a waste of Ubisofts time.

From DarshD reaction to the DLC being an "insult" to a "noble legend of a leader", I think the anger is readable.

Last time I heard those words being used was by officials in a dictatorship.

And your words of this JOKE DLC being non-canon useless dribble. That too.

Lol, so because I insult something that means I'm mad? I never knew that, I assumed I knew what emotions I was feeling but clearly you know better!

I know very well that it is my opinion, I never stated it was fact. That means I can't discuss it on the forums on how I think it is useless and unnecessary?

When someone invests that much energy as you do, then yes someone else can tell your emotions better than yourself. I think a little soul searching would do you good.

Invests energy? Lolwat.

I browse the web for entertainment, I see a news article then comment, somebody replies and if it interests me I respond, this is how the internet works, welcome. I doubt "soul searching" will ever change the fact that for me, going on the web for an hour or two to blow off boredom and feed my genuine interest in videogames is just a passtime, hell probably even a hobby if you could call it that. I'm not investing any energy at all

At the end of the day I probably won't remember this, which is why I like the new notification system from neo and wish more forums adopted it since until that update I always just forgot or left discussions because they lose interest for me after a while and I have no way of remembering or reminding myself what the hell I was doing yesterday on the web other than porn

Your vernacular in expressing your feelings towards this DLC is immense, grats.

Dragoon: Are we really discussing this?

Originally I have no real intention of buying this or any DLC, because I just despised DLC in general. But I think I will be getting this particular one just to see if I can see/understand what the fuss is all about.

Dragoon, time we collect PSN with release being so near?
