Xbox 360 players can unlock discounts on Xbox LIVE Marketplace by earning Achievements
Gain a 2% rebate on all purchases every month if you've got over 25,000 Gamerscore
Microsoft has released a new Xbox LIVE Rewards scheme that offers additional discounts to players on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace if they exceed certain Gamerscore milestones.
Those who have amassed between 3,000-9,999 Gamerscore will receive a "Special Gift" on your birthday. However, it'll only hold a value of 15 pence ($.25).
If you've gained between 10,000-24,999 Gamerscore, you'll receive the birthday gift, as well as being entitled to a 1% rebate on all purchases from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace every month.
Those who have a 25,000+ Gamerscore will earn both the birthday gift, in addition to a 2% rebate on all purchases every month. That's a whooping $20 worth of Microsoft Points back if you spend the tiny and affordable amount of $1000 worth of XBLA downloads.
The majority of Xbox LIVE Marketplace purchases qualify for the rebate, which includes Games on Demand, Arcade Games, Game Add-ons and Avatar items. However, purchases pertaining to either Microsoft Points or Xbox LIVE memberships are not permitted.
In addition to the aforementioned methods, players can also earn free Microsoft Points by purchasing items on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace and partaking in surveys.
In order to sign up for the offer, you need to activate the Xbox LIVE Rewards scheme on your Xbox LIVE Gold account.

2% on typical expenditure (say £100), is £2 saved. Nothing, basically. And yet say 500,000 people on Xbox spend that on the marketplace each year, costing them £1m? This costs them money for no actual benefit I can see.

I wonder if anyone would ever try making 365 accounts with 3000 GS just so they could get a gift everyday haha. Though it's probably just something like a birthday hat or a cake prop for your avatar.
Seriously though I don't even feel this would be worth my time. But hey it is better than nothing.
