All three Mass Effect games are going to be bundled together for retail in the Mass Effect Trilogy, with an expected release date of November 6 for the PC and Xbox 360. A PlayStation 3 version currently has an unannounced date, although no explanation was given for the delay. The collection will be priced at $60 for all three platforms.
The first Mass Effect never came to the PS3, just PC and Xbox 360, while the sequels have been on all three. However, any PS3 gamer who already owns Mass Effect 2 and 3 should be happy to hear the first one will be available as a standalone download from the PlayStation Store. No release date or price was announced for that one either, but hopefully it is no more than $20.
Each Mass Effect game has a fair amount of downloadable content, though neither EA or BioWare mentioned if the Trilogy includes any of it. Hopefully an announcement is made before long to clear that up.
