Tecmo Koei revealed today their lineup for this year's Tokyo Game Show, and it's looking pretty heavy on the sequels. Actually, there are only sequels announced right now, with no hints at possible announcements. If you're a fan of any Tecmo Koei staples like Dead or Alive, Dynasty Warriors and the like, however, this should be exciting for you.
Here's the whole lineup:
- Dead or Alive 5
- Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage 2
- DYNASTY WARRIORS 7 Empires
- WARRIORS OROCHI 3 Hyper
Dead or Alive 5 is actually coming out next week, on September 25, while the rest are stretched across the next several months. Fist of the North Star 2 is expected to land some time this December in Japan and North America for multiple consoles including Wii U, and DW7 Empires will be out in Novemer in Japan, with a February 2013 release window in North America.
Interestingly, WARRIORS OROCHI 3 Hyper was revealed just days ago as a Wii U launch title, meaning that will be out this November. Described as a "tactical action game" (Aren't they all?), Hyper brings together numerous characters from a wide range of Tecmo Koei games, well beyond just the Dynasty and Samurai Warriors games. Joining the roster will be characters from Ninja Gaiden, Warriors: Legends of Troy, Bladestorm, and Dead or Alive. A brand new character is also being introduced.
