Planetary Annihilation's Kickstarter comes to a close, over $2 million raised
Every stretch goal reached, too
The Kickstarter for Planetary Annihilation has come to a close, with a final total of $2,228,344. That is a staggering amount, especially when you consider it was a little over $1.8 million a couple days ago. It also means every stretch goal was obtained, including two recent ones.
Earlier this week, Uber Entertainment added two additional stretch goals at $2 million and $2.1 million. The first would allow for a full orchestral score while the second would help create a documentary on the game's creation. Both of those were easily reached with room to spare, along with the other goals, like the Galactic War metagame. Many people should be very happy for the inclusion of that, as the infinite replayability will keep gamers occupied long into the night.
Uber Entertainment's massive real-time strategy game received over 44,000 backers, but that is just the Kickstarter number. The developer was also accepting donations through PayPal, so both the total backers and dollar amount should be far higher. There shouldn't be too long of a wait to hear the combined total, but either way you look at it, Planetary Annihilation is on the way.
