FIFA Soccer 13, one of EA SPORTS' most successful franchises, is certainly off to a good start, and the game isn't even out yet. The demo has apparently been downloaded 1.99 million times in just three days, by folks across 73 different countries. Talk about international appeal, right?
Now if that weren't enough of an indication that FIFA's a popular series, FIFA 13 currently boasts over 875,000 pre-orders with two weeks until launch. That number is bound to go up between now and then.
The upcoming soccer (a.k.a. the real football) game will be out in North America on September 25, then Europe and the rest of the world on September 28. European fans do, however, have the opportunity to access the game six days in advance using EA's Season Ticket program. US fans get access on September 21 with the same program. If you're interested, just fork over $24.99 and snag the following benefits:
- Early access to all participating titles
- Access to over $100 of paid downloadable content across the five participating franchises. FIFA Soccer 13 specific content is valued at over $30 and consists of 24 FIFA Ultimate Team Gold Premium packs —one per week for 24 consecutive weeks—to help build an ultimate team of soccer superstars
- An additional 20% off any additional paid downloadable content purchased for participating titles, including FIFA Soccer 13
That program's only available for PS3 and Xbox 360, though. Sorry, everyone else.
