The 1.05 patch for Diablo 3 is on the horizon, for which we now have the first details of many to come.
First off, Blizzard is devaluing defensive skills and reducing incoming damage in an effort to make builds more flexible as they can be less concerned with survival and more concerned with smashing things and lighting them on fire and such.
"The Infernal Machine" is the next item on the list. This one is a twisted reward for players that make it to level 60. Once there, you'll be able to take on "uber" versions of the baddest of the bad bosses within Sanctuary. Naturally, you can grab some sweet loot from their corpses, assuming you make it out alive.
Lastly, in a nod to Diablo 2 and its "Player 8" system, a new "Monster Power" system will let you tweak how tough foes are on each difficulty setting.
More details and a release date when we get it.
