It's a pathetic excuse to break a promised release date (that's already delayed!) because their own developers are incompetent enough to work with the PS3. I understand why they released it for those two systems (PC, 360)- because of another underhanded exclusivity deal and whatnot. What I don't understand is how Bethesda could possibly have had an extra month to work out issues regarding the PS3 version and STILL not have it released on time. With Bethesda's reasoning, I don't know why they didn't just release Skyrim for the 360 first because it's "easier to work with." Infact, why don't all developers finish one console version first and then release that version?

Needless to say, I will never be buying a Bethesda game new because of this bullshit. If a company is going to go with a timed exclusive deal and THEN delay it for the PS3 even further because of their incompetence, they don't deserve my money- ever.

You are the exact reason I hate gamers sometimes. You call a developer incompetent when they are doing something you most likely don't even understand and then go "They aren't getting my money anymore!" Honestly, you should check your consumer ego at the door pal, it's making you look like a fool.

You keep acting like it is some conspiracy, no it's not, Sony takes their system and uses some ass backwards programming that, while it improves the quality of most first party games and games built for the system, makes it a bitch to port games that are multi platform. The delay has nothing to do with exclusives, it has everything to do with the DLC NOT WORKING ON THE PS3.

That's nice. I don't care.

People act like whiny bitches with Ubisoft's DRM and refuse to let their consumer ego go, why should I? I don't really care about your opinion when you also have no certification in anything and are talking out your ass because you're an idiot. My favorite part is this section because you accomplish nothing in saying any of this.

Don't remember saying or acting like it was a conspiracy. Infact, I'm pretty sure I called them incompetent because they had EXTRA time to work on the PS3 version.

Are you even reading? I didn't say it was because of exclusives. I said the delay was because they're INCOMPETENT.
Bethesda didn't even port Oblivion, which was released a year later than the 360's version (or, 5 months post-PS3 release), they got some other studio to do it. We'd probably NEVER have Oblivion on the PS3 if it wasn't for that studio- 4J Studios. In fact, I believe PS3 gamers missed out on quite a few individual pieces of DLC released for the 360, probably because of the same reason we're looking at here.

quote
Due to performance issues, the PS3 version of Dawnguard has been delayed indefinitely, and Bethesda has expressed concern that future Skyrim DLC may not be able to be added to the system as well.
They can't even promise a delayed date.

ok so everyone that is freaking out chill out Bethesda and Microsoft (xbox 360 and pc) had a contract allowing Microsoft a first hand play through of skyrims dlc's which means they got it first and now that they got their 2nd dlc they (Bethesda) can finally work with Sony. they would of dealt with it sooner but they couldn't break their contract with Microsoft with out the risk of getting sued which if they did help us ps3 users they probably would of got sued and lost that fight and not even be able to help us at all. so they had to ride it out and finish the 2nd dlc in order to get their top programmers back from creating the 2nd dlc to fix and patch the glitches and bugs of the ps3 and dawnguard in order for us to actually enjoy playing skyrim without it crashing or something like that. yea i am annoyed that we had to wait so long but like someone stated before at least they care enough to reslove the problem and try to get us the dlc's. plus at least they are getting pretty much everyone to fix this. and would you like to get the dawnguard dlc and then as soon as it loaded up it crashes your system and then get even more mad that it crashed it or wait a while in order to play it and not have the possibility of crashing your ps3

Understandabley it takes time to program everything in but i think they should have created and fixed the dlc for every system before announcing a release date and/or releasing it to one of the systems. Doesn't logic dictate that you should have a product before trying to sell one. The wait is extremely annoying the lack of information is worse but as long as it comes out even in a game of the year edition I'll be fine.

quit making new games and dlc if it only works on one system im never gonna waste my money on a X Box 360 just so i can play one game im no traitor to the Sony company nor do i plan to be. Please resolve these issues. And maybe Sony should kick down a little dlc exclusively for their loyal consumers who haven't jumped ship due to these issues. Just sayin

DC Sniper it is one thing to bitch and whine about a DRM that was purposefully put in place and is functioning correctly, it is another to whine and bitch about a company that is having difficulties that are out of differences in system specs and are attempting the fix.

The third part wasn't directed at any specific person, so hop off your high horse not everything is about you, What cracks me up is you called them incompetent.... If you can fix it go do it, if not, you have no place calling them incompetent for something you don't have the ability to fix either.

Oh and Oblivion and Skyrim are two completely different games, Skyrim came out on all 3 systems at the same time, Oblivion didn't, so Not sure on what your point was with the whole "They didn't port Oblivion over". thing so yeah..... Hey, at least you aren't a blind fan boy.... Cue intro for....

MiLkWeEd1388 Jesus christ if ever there was a fanboy you are it. "Traitor to The Sony Company" Are you *bleep*ing kidding me? Also I doubt anyone is jumping ship over DLC to one game, most people I know who own a PS3 stick with it simply because they prefer the games and tech over the xbox, anyone who would buy an entirely new system simply for DLC for a game they already own is simply foolish. Sony has been picking up a few more Exclusives here lately, Most noteable recently, Um I would say the Assassin's Creed 3 content that is exclusive, as in not TIMED exclusive but EXCLUSIVE, as in for good. Sony seems to only play for keeps, not time outs.

It's actually the same thing lol.

"Cracks me up", yeah right. I can just envision a rustled oni_hero on the internet being "cracked up" at what is a serious argument, right? Are you done on your high horse, hypocrite?

In other news, DC Sniper is the most ignorant, self-entitled, incompetent person on this site. More news at 11.

I for one can see where DC is coming from, Bethesda's dev team "lack the skills" to fix the problem so they call Sony for help. They have had problems with getting things to work on ps3 in the past and should have known to call up Sony a lot sooner. And now I wait patiently til the issue is fixed, and am hoping ps3 users get some type of compensation for having to wait a little longer.

Er, if I might butt in, aren't we all hiding behind a computer? I mean, shit, if we could just pop out of other people's computers, assuming we know exactly where someone lives, and give them a piece of our mind, I'm sure this would be a much stranger world.
