Considering most hack attempts use the PSP Emulation Engine within the Vita, not surprising they're using similar setups.

People usually only hack something if it is worth being hacked.

Thats not necessarily true. Projects like this that stem from groups like wololo are usually innocent in nature, but it comes down to how you use it. Not all people use it for homebrew games or improving flaws, in this case you could look at it as a few good apples among a pile rotten ones.

However I do believe that the more archaic and restrictive the product/service the more prone it is to hacking, per the belief that offering a better service than the pirates curb piracy.
