Call of Juarez: Gunslinger announced for XBLA and PSN, returns to the Wild West
Looks much better than the last game already
The Call of Juarez series is still alive, as Ubisoft has just revealed Call of Juarez: Gunslinger for XBLA and PSN. Looks like the publisher learned their lesson from Call of Juarez: The Cartel, too, because the new installment is returning to the series' Western roots.
Gunslinger drops players in the shoes of a yet-unnamed bounty hunter in the Old West, kicking ass and taking names. You know how bounty hunters roll, and how many notable outlaws the Wild West cultivated.
Early information about the downloadable title mention being able to face down legendary gunslingers like Billy the Kid and Jesse James. Even the live action announcement trailer teases with a "Wanted" poster of Butch Cassidy.
Call of Juarez developer Techland is currently working on Gunslinger, and release is expected to land in early 2013.
