Developer DICE has detailed on its official blog what to expect when Battlefield 3 expansion Armored Kill drops at various times this month (depending what platform you're on and whether or not you're Premium) in terms of assignments, achievements, and dog tags.
If you liked the gold and black Premium dog tags from Close Quarters, five more are offered in AK. Each of them pertains to a given vehicle type (jets, choppers, MBTs, IFVs, and then everything else like boats), and requires 50 kills per tag; some require an additional 25 kills against said vehicle types, and the 'other' vehicle types require 50 squad driver assists.
Assignments, meanwhile, allow you to unlock the TOW, HE ammo, and Firing Extinguisher for the Tank Destroyer, plus the Airburst and AA missiles for the Mobile Artillery. To do this you'll need to obtain a variety of vehicle kills and repairs.
In the achievements department, you can unlock five items which require you to do everything from getting a gunship kill to taking down the gunship to racking up 10 kills with the Tank Destroyer and Mobile Artillery, plus a couple other things.
A patch for the game is expected to hit all platforms tomorrow, at which point it will also launch for Premium PS3 players. The rest of you, stay tuned.
