Capcom has confirmed that the retailer selling Resident Evil 6 a month before its launch had stolen several units.
The publisher and developer said in a statement that they've launched a "thorough" investigation into the reports of Resident Evil 6 being sold a month before its release. They added that the "unfortunate incident" relates to only a small quantity of stolen copies of the German version of Resident Evil 6 on the PlayStation 3.
However, someone who did purchase the game from the Polish store is now selling it on eBay for an buy-it-now price of €1196.71, with the current bid standing at €478.78.
Resident Evil 6 officially launches nationwide on October 2.
