Square Enix president requests patience for Final Fantasy Versus XIII update
Game will be shown when it reaches level to give "nostalgic, "this is Final Fantasy!" feeling"
Square Enix president Yoichi Wada has reiterated that Final Fantasy Versus XIII is still in development, but fans will have to "wait a little longer" for an update on the PlayStation 3 exclusive.
The name of the game itself is now being called into question, with the executive referring to the game as simply "Versus" during the Final Fantasy 25th anniversary celebration opening ceremony.
Wada also said during the event that when the title "reaches the level where it gives you that nostalgic, "this is Final Fantasy!" feeling, I want to show it to everyone."
In addition, a new sketch of the game’s main character Noctis drawn by director Tetsuya Nomura was recently unearthed, which sees the developer asking fans to "please wait for his turn."

And I mean come on, why can't they give more info about this game? I like the 13 series more than most people, but this game should take priority over a second sequel.
But to ignore an entire fanbase just because he has a hissy fit with the creators is something stupid and childish. Even Valve apologized to Sony for hating on them. Whatever I don't really care. Only reason I want this game out is because the sooner this is done the sooner he starts working on Kingdom Hearts 3. By this stage KH3 is already going to be a next gen title because it took so long, at this rate I'm starting to wonder if Versus will be a next gen title as well.
I also agree with Ded Valve, sure you can have your opinions on consoles, but that doesn't seem like a good reason to hold other gamers from being able to play your game. It just doesn't seem very professional to me. I've been a Playstation fan all my life, but that doesn't mean that I don't think Xbox or PC deserves to play the same games we are...
Also Soltice - Type-0 was released, just not outside of Japan because the amount of money Square Enix would make is negligible at best. They would probably 'Loose' more money than they would get back.
The fact that a lot of games get announced and then cancelled shortly afterwords without so much as a whisper isn't big use. The fact that we actually are 'hearing an sort of news' about FFVersus is good news in my opinion.
But we've been patient enough for Versus. It's Square Enix's fault for teasing this title so early. I guarantee you that had this game been announced a year or so before release that no one would have minded.
Announcing a title before scratching the development surface is idiotic.
