Great, now you just need to make your OS worth a damn.

Seriously, most people aren't using Touch screens. WHY THE F*** ARE YOU MAKING A DESKTOP OS FOR TOUCHSCREENS!!

I realize they're basically making a mobile OS and porting it over, but FFS, this thing is utter crap.

Krantos except it isn't a mobile OS that is being ported over at all. They still have the traditional desktop there, just without the start menu. This was made to make it easier to support a wider variety of formats such as PCs and tablets at the same time from the same code base.

Really strange announcement tbh. Angry birds as a launch title? It's already out. BlazBlue is out too, Dragon's Lair has been out for well over a decade. Even worse that Minesweeper and Solitaire are on that list.

Also I guess that doesn't speak well for classic embedded games, want to play minesweeper? Pay up.

Pac-Man CE DX might be worth double-dipping for.

Have you even messed with Windows 8? I've had it since around the beginning of the year on my HP Tablet PC and I think its fantastic. I don't see it so much as a successor to Windows 7, but more as an alternative for laptop, tablet, and other mobile PC users. If you are on a desktop, don't even worry about windows 8 unless you're still running XP or Vista.

I think Microsoft should stop trying to do the Apple thing releasing a new OS very often and just stick to big update service packs like they have in the past. If I didn't have a tablet, I wouldn't get Windows 8. However, saying Windows 8 is "utter crap" is beyond moronic.

In regards to the Windows Live games, I believe by "Launch title" they simply mean it will be available on the retail launch day of Windows 8. The games aren't stellar, but if you're looking for casual games then they have some big guns (Angry birds, cut the rope, fruit ninja).

They are making something look big when in reality it is not. Should focus on new content if they plan on making Windows 8 a successful gaming platform. And of course at the same time keep titles that have always been around with the OS that people loved to play.

I'm quite content with Win7 thank you. Going by the Rule of Evens Win8 is gonna blow.
