I'm OK with this. I'm sure the content will be worth the price. So, roughly 10 weeks between these packs by my count?

Also, has the game gone gold yet? I could have sworn a mention of that some time ago, but I might be thinking of a different game.

Well I guess I'm not buying it on release. I'm just gonna wait a year and get the full game + xpacs for 40 bucks.

Logical decision. Don't mind me whilst I flaunt my ULCE and 100's of hours of playtime.

Really, don't...

I am, considering that this dlc is actually going to be substantial and is being developed after the main game finished (which went gold a few weeks back) I see no reason why not to get it.

Spark it seemed extremely obvious that there was always going to be a substantial amount of DLC for Borderlands 2, Gearbox even said it plenty of times only know telling us their plans for it.

Shadow of Death Yessir you are correct, it has gone gold. They're working on The Mechromancer and this DLC as we speak.

Don't listen to me about DLC. I'm not a fan, period. That said, Gearbox puts out solid content and a 25% discount is substantial. $90 up front though... when did games become an investment?

It just makes me a little angry that games feel like they should put out a game, then put out extra content you have to pay for. Why not spend another 6 months in development and then put the content on the disc? Why not release it free? Oh yeah, money.. At least Borderlands DLC was good.

I thought the Mechromancer was supposed to be a first-day free DLC?

EvilTediz597 The Mechromancer is free for pre-orderers, though it won't be available immediately. Then, maybe a month or two down the road, they will sell it as DLC to anyone who might have missed out on the pre-order deal.

There was an article that implied such, but it was wrong. I believe it was later updated.

I loved Borderlands, and I have high hopes for Borderlands 2, but all this DLC is really aggrivating.
The fact that they're already making content that could have been included with the game at release, for free, but are actually charging for it, means that they're more in it for the money, than for making a good game.
Don't get me wrong, I think Borderlands did DLC pretty well. It wasn't cut-content, or stuff that should have been included with the game. But since this is already being made, and they could just include it with the game for free, that's irritating.
I don't even blame Gearbox for it. I think it's 2K's fault. I used to like 2K, but now they're slipping down my list of good publishers.

Ecto5 - It would only appear in the main release if they delayed the game. The game was finished a while ago, I'm quite sure. Right now they'd be in the production stages. They have deadlines and whatnot.

Now Crapcom on the other hand, they're pretty terrible about cutting content.
